First Day--April 2013

Wow! Another month has flown by! Here's how we started the month of April. . .

A gorgeous day at the lake. . .

Crazy, always goofing-off Connor!

I sure do love my husband, even if I'm not very photogenic!

Perfection!

Mallards who were NOT afraid of people!

Precious little birds who were constantly feeding their young in the tree near us.

How cool is this shot?! They were actually on a log, but at this angle, you can't tell!

A productive day on the sandbar!

Canadian Geese were everywhere you looked!

A bat house HIGH on a pole, and yes a TON of bats came pouring out at dusk!

Early morning boat ride!

A beautiful oasis we found off the beaten path.

A gorgeous crane in our path.

A little fishing going on and Bailey underneath, seeking shade.

More fishing going on and Abbey underneath, seeking shade.

"Mama, look at this HUGE pine cone! And it doesn't even poke me!"

Our attire for early morning Bible study!

The story of the Dogwood tree helped illustrate the Bible lesson that day!

There must've been something REALLY good under there.

Did I mention I caught the biggest fish? Mmmmhmm!

Say hello to my little friend. . .

A hybrid, white perch!

A gorgeous end to a gorgeous day!

  4. Excellent photos, and it looks like a fun time was had by all, including Bailey and Connor (Yeah, I put them in the same category ;P). Thank you for sharing, and you gotta try your fish with mayonnaise...everything's good with mayonnaise! Sure would love some o' them fish - I've been craving it for a few days, and our local grocer has them on sale this week, so I have to go BUY mine :)...
    Congratulations on the biggest FISH!
